What Refinancing Could Do for You
Refinancing isn’t only about the rate. Depending on your situation, switching loans may help you:
Lower Your Repayments
A sharper rate could reduce what you pay each month — we’ll show you the actual numbers for your loan, including any switching costs.
Unlock Your Equity
If your property has grown in value, you may be able to access equity for renovations, investment or other plans.
Get Better Features
Offset accounts, redraw, more flexible repayments — features your current loan may not offer.
Consolidate Debts
Rolling higher-interest debts into your home loan could simplify repayments — though it isn’t right for everyone, and we’ll talk through the trade-offs honestly.
Whether refinancing stacks up depends on your numbers. We’ll lay out the costs and the potential benefit side by side — then you decide.

Refinancing Questions, Answered
How much could refinancing save me?
It depends on your current rate, loan balance, remaining term and any switching costs — which is why we start with a free review of your actual loan rather than a generic promise. You’ll see the real numbers before deciding.
What does refinancing cost?
Typically a discharge fee from your current lender, government registration fees, and possibly application fees with the new lender. If you’re on a fixed rate, break costs may apply. We always present the total cost alongside the potential benefit.
How long does refinancing take?
Usually two to six weeks from application to settlement, depending on the lenders involved. We manage the process so you don’t have to chase anyone.
Is it worth refinancing if I’m on a fixed rate?
Sometimes — but break costs can be significant, so it needs checking case by case. We’ll find out what your break cost would be and tell you honestly whether switching now makes sense or whether it’s better to wait.
